We came here for lunch here a few days ago to celebrate a birthday.
Decor was as you would expect from Malaysia’s most famous flamboyant chef. A few peacocks here, some orchids there, rattan furniture everywhere. It's a little manic, but has it has its charm in a Malaysiana sort of way. There is an air of coziness, perhaps from the bright chandeliers and large fixtures, but table seating was well spaced.
Food however was decent. Perhaps we lack the foodie insight to pair different Malaysian dishes. The beef was tough. The fried tofu and sauce was great.
Table service however made up for all other shortcomings. Staff were quick and friendly.
A good experience, perhaps we would have been better off coming in a few months once the place got into its groove.
